Burnt out lightbulb hot air balloon
I hate throwing things away. On pinterest I stumbled across some really cool upcycled lightbulbs and had the make my own.
Baby quilt revisited
My son loved his soft baby quilt but quickly outgrew it. We have pieced together his quilt and the bumper plus an extra matching quilt/bumper set (which I found on eBay for $10) and one more matching bumper I found at the thrift store for $4. Now it's twin sized and he will have many years of use out of it.
Leftover binding headband
My mom pieced together a quilt for my son. She was going to throw out the binding scraps! I made these flowers and the headband from those scraps.
Crochet headband
I am relearning how to crochet. My grandmother showed me when I was little. More than 25 years ago. I have some nifty Japanese style leg warmers in mind but need a little practice first. Here's a headband I made. So easy.
Tshirt headband
Lately I am really enjoying thinking up things to do with old tshirts. This is the sleeve of an adult Tshirt (I used the body of the shirt to make yarn). The flowers are made from scraps of fabric I had handy.
