Frog to pig transformation

Turned two thrifted stuffed frogs into one of the pigs from Angry Birds. Not as fabulous as it could be but not bad for a quickie project.

Wrapping

Paper, stickers, piece of an old Tshirt.

Matching adult pajamas

Same pattern as the kids pajamas. Slightly different Tshirt appliqué design. Make your own gift wrapping with paper, stickers, and embroidery floss.

Painted tote

You can paint on a tote with regular acrylic paint. Since it isn't something you would wash, you don't have to worry about heat setting or color fastness. I refurbished this tired tote for a friend who is a Cowboys fan.

Skirt from old Tshirt

Cut the shirt off under the sleeves. Cut the letters apart. Bleach the letters with a bleach pen (changed them from red/blue to pink/brown). Spell new words. Trim letters to make new ones. I turned A into V and T into L and B into U. Use lining from a matchless glove to make a heart. Dye Tshirt in instant coffee and bake at 200 degrees for 15 min to heat set. Lay out to complete drying overnight. Don't rest it on a pot unless you want a circle in your dried Tshirt to have a circle. Oops. Cut another Tshirt into 5 inch strips. Serge the edges. Ruffle the strips. Put the coffee Tshirt on inside out, pin along your hips, then sew and trim excess. Crochet butterfly (crocheted heart folded in half). Use scraps from ruffle Tshirt to make one inch ruffle for the heart and assemble. Sew heart onto skirt. I used it to cover a small hole in the skirt. Wear skirt.

Tiles for the library

Jakob's school is selling tiles that they are making into a wall in the library. I made one today.

Clone Wars pajamas

Made these from Jakob's old sheets that his dad was on the verge of thrifting. I initially made them a little too tight across the hips so I had to add the yellow stripe down the sides.
