Plastic flower necklace

Finished another necklace with my plastic flowers. Started with a vintage four strand necklace. One of the strands was already missing and another was ugly so I removed it. I replaced one strand with a mix of plastic beads in various shades of aqua, and replaced the other with three strands of seed beads.

Dallas Cowboys pajamas

I finished Jakob's pajamas today. Pants are made from free flannel sheet that a friend was going to thrift. Tshirt is made from a blue thrifted Tshirt for about 10 cents (that had some initials printed on it), and also a piece of a white Tshirt that the sane friend was going to discard because it had yellowed at the neckline. Thread and elastic from my stash.

Found these similar pajama pants online at FansEdge (http://www.fansedge.com/Dallas-Cowboys-Youth-Flannel-Pants-_-894595715_PD.html?bizrate=74-02517) for $19.99.

Thrifty find

Brand new (still with tags) sewing box. Perfect for storing needle felting tools and spindles. $12.95.

Easy Peasy lemon squeezy

Favorite lemonade recipe is so easy. Melt a cup of sugar in a cup of water over medium heat. Mix with a cup of lemon juice and four cups of water. One of our thrifty finds this week was a glass jar with a tap for $12.95. Lemons came from our yard. Voila. Two gallons of fresh lemonade and a fun activity for Jakob who does the slicing and squeezing.
